You have to be very careful who you tell your secrets to. Things usually end much quicker than they began, so you never know if that person will keep your secrets after your relationship with them ends. If you truly don't want the secret told, you should keep it to yourself. The more people you let your secrets out to; the more control you lose. The more people that know; the more variables there are. Thus, the more likely it is that your secret gets out. Seeing as people are rarely who or what they seem to be, the chances of your secrets getting exposed is even higher. There are very few things humans like more than to be the source of new information or rather, gossip.
