"To be or not to be"...
There is a difference between knowing something and actually hearing or seeing it. When you know something but haven't actually heard it out right or seen it, there is always that thought in the back of your mind that asks "But what if it's not true?" However, when you hear it said blatantly or see it for yourself, that thought can no longer survive. There is no longer room for doubt or question. It is undeniably there, and most of the time in these situations, it is something that breaks you into thousands of tiny pieces. Bad news seems to regularly shield itself behind uncertainty as a way of taunting us, teasing us with the thought that it might not be real. This makes it all the more devastating when the truth unveils itself. The truth is: Ignorance really is bliss.
