In love there is always pain...

People always say that love is about giving someone the power to destroy you and trusting them not to. However, to me, love is about giving someone the power to destroy you, and them being worth enough to you for you to take the risk. I saw a quote that I really liked. It's very true about love. It said, "You're the risk I'll always take." With everyone you love, romantic or otherwise, you give them the power to hurt you. The deeper you love them, the deeper their ability to hurt you. If you truly give someone your heart, your whole heart, they can completely destroy you. You never really get it back either, not all of it anyway.
